We Love Babies!

Nursery Coordinator

Meet our Nursery Coordinator Sarah Goodfellow. When you think of all the perfect qualities in a grandmother, they all add up to equal Sara!  You will love her and your little ones will as well!

Sarah also has all the right skills!  She is CPR certified and she has lengthy experience with children with special needs. You have every reason to feel confident when you place your child in our nursery.

Our Goal

We consider every baby a blessing and promise from the Lord. It is our desire to serve the needs of you and your child as we would serve Christ. We attempt to provide a comfortable environment so that each child may feel happy and loved. The seeds of later trust in God are rooted in an early positive experience at church.

Safety Measures

The only acceptable nursery is a safe nursery. Valleyview Church has gone to great lengths to insure each child will be nurtured in a safe and secure environment.

During each service our nursery is supervised by a coordinator who staffs and oversees all care. The coordinator is trained to respond appropriately in all emergencies and is CPR certified.

The nursery rooms are regularly inspected to remove or correct any dangerous elements. Nursery toys are cleaned weekly.

Children with known illnesses are not admitted into the nursery. We also have air purifiers to help further reduce germs and bacteria in the air.

A parent in the sanctuary can be notified immediately of any needs through our on-screen alert system. A discreet message appears on the bottom of the screen that simply says, “Sawyer’s mommy or daddy is needed in the nursery.”

The church has developed a fire plan for all rooms in all of our buildings.

Check-In Procedures

In order to provide the best experience for baby and parent alike, we have developed a procedure for checking children in.

When you complete the sign-in sheet you will supply the nursery personnel with important information such as where you can be located, child’s special needs, etc.

You will receive a security claim check when you drop off your child. That security claim check will have your child’s name on it and also ensures that only you can pick up your child.

Please bring a diaper bag. Your diaper bag should contain the following items:

  • 3-4 diapers
  • A plastic bag for wet diapers
  • A bottle
  • A bib
  • A complete change of clothes
  • A sweater and socks (during cool days)

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14
